My Why

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” -Colin Powell, Former U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

I was born and raised in Canada and moved to the US in 2005.  I started working at the age of 15 at a local gas station where I opened the store on the weekend at 6am while the owner slept in. Then for the past 28 years, I have had a very successful career of managing businesses and coaching teams within corporations.  I’ve had many different experiences on businesses I think you all know well: KFC, Raid, Off, Ziploc, Saran Wrap, Edge & Skintimate Shave Gel, Scrubbing Bubbles, Pledge, Fantastik, Sargento Cheese, Red Gold tomatoes, Energizer.

In that same time, I’ve coached, trained, taught and mentored well over 300 people.  It is very fulfilling to see someone I’ve invested into grow and develop into someone that can do my job even better than I can do it.  People I’ve coached have gone on to become Vice presidents, Presidents and CEO of corporations here and in Canada.

I’ve always chased my career and for the past 10 years that has required me to move frequently – having a negative impact on my family.  My wife is in a 100% commission sales career so when we move it takes her 3-4 years to re-build her business.  And I’ve been moving us every 3-4 years which has had hurt her career.  Despite this, she has always been incredibly supportive of my career at the expense of her own. This coupled with the fact that corporations have been focusing less on employees and more on profit, led me to realize this life was no longer a fit for me and my family. So I resigned and my last day was March 15.

I grew up getting teased for not having brand names because my parents could not afford them then my dad got hurt at work as was unable to work so things were tough.  As a result, I’ve always wanted to help others: I was a peer counselor in high school and a lay counselor at church, a big brother and my number 1 priority at work has been to coach, train and mentored folks. My passion has always been to help others to become all that they can be. Now in my business, this passion is directed to making a difference in the lives of business owners so they do not find themselves in the situation I experienced when my dad was no longer able to work.

My vision is to provide every business owner in the greater Indianapolis area a better way so they don’t struggle with the lonely, overwhelming and conflicting demands of their business. A business model that will allow them more time to spend with family and friends while also having a successful business that provides the money needed to realize their life dreams.
